South Grand Prairie football coach Brent Whitson confirmed in an email that defensive back Jason Hall orally committed to Texas on Saturday.
Hall (6-2, 190) had committed to Nebraska before he reopened his recruitment earlier this month. Hall is No. 45 in SportsDay's area recruiting rankings.
Oral commitments are nonbinding. Feb. 5 is the first day that a football player in the Class of 2014 can sign a national letter of intent.
