Boys basketball player of the week: Melissa's Zach Helmberger
What he did: In Melissa’s 74-42 2A Region II championship victory against Italy, he scored 36 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. It was one of his many strong performances for Melissa. Hondo Webb had 13 points and 26 rebounds, and Ian Hatfield held Italy’s star Jasenio Anderson to nine points.
Who he is: A 6-2 senior guard
