Guyer then drove 80 yards in 11 plays and Robinson scored from a yard out for a 48-28 lead with 7:02 to play. Carroll never got closer than two scores the rest of the way.

Carroll quarterback Mason Holmes passed for 287 yards and three touchdowns. Carroll's Zach Farrar caught nine passes for 215 yards, including touchdowns of 71 and 50 yards.

It was Farrar's 71-yard reception that gave Carroll a 7-0 lead midway through the first quarter.

Then Guyer's running game took over. Guyer put together a 12-play drive, converting a fourth-and-four along the way, with Mason scoring on a four-yard carry.

Mason finished off an 87-yard drive with a nine-yard touchdown run for a 13-7 Guyer lead with 9:13 left in the half.

After a 92-yard drive, Cain scored from 12 yards out for a 20-7 Guyer lead. That started a flurry of scoring in the final 2:32 of the half that ended with Guyer holding a 27-21 lead.

Carroll's Shemar Coleman scored from 39 yards out with 1:45 left in the half. Then Carroll recovered a pooch kickoff and Holmes tossed a 29-yard touchdown pass to a wide-open Kam Duhon to reclaim the lead, 21-20.

That left a minute on the clock before halftime, enough time for Guyer to score in three plays. A 55-yard breakaway by Robinson reclaimed the lead for Guyer, 27-21, with 26 seconds until half.
