Cleburne High School’s girls soccer coach has been arrested for alleged sexual relations with a student, WFAA’s Jim Douglas reported Wednesday.

Chris Francis, 27, resigned abruptly Tuesday. On Wednesday, Cleburne police confirmed his arrest on a charge of improper relationship with a student. Francis allegedly had sexual contact with a juvenile female.

Francis, with the Cleburne ISD for only one year, previously coached two years at Irving MacArthur and one year at Irving Nimitz.

Irving ISD reports no allegations against Francis. He resigned from that district.

As of late Wednesday afternoon, Chris Francis remained jailed on $40,000 bond.
