Colleyville Heritage head coach Mike Fuller to take over at Decatur
From David McNabb:
Colleyville Heritage football coach Mike Fuller said he's leaving the Class 5A program for Decatur, a traditional Class 3A program northwest of Fort Worth.
The Decatur ISD has a special session Thursday evening to formally approve Fuller, who has compiled a 60-19 record in the last seven seasons at Colleyville Heritage.
Fuller has led Colleyville Heritage to the Class 5A playoffs each season. The 44-year-old Fuller coached at Coppell for 10 seasons before leaving for Colleyville Heritage.
Fuller was a record-setting quarterback at Arlington (1988) before playing at Abilene Christian.
Former Decatur coach Kyle Story was named last month to open Frisco Independence. Decatur will be in the UIL's new Class 4A Division I alignment.
