Skyline finds connection on long passes, overwhelms Lake Highlands
Sederian Copeland passed for 329 yards and five touchdowns as Skyline overwhelmed Lake Highlands 49-21 at Forester Stadium.

Skyline, ranked No. 8 in the area 5A poll, improved to 2-0 in District 9-5A and 4-1 overall.

Lake Highlands scored on the second play of the second quarter when Brock Jones connected with Sam Iheke for a 37-yard strike.
A trick play that went awry led to Skyline’s next score. Derrick Dixon intercepted a pass out of punt formation to put Skyline at midfield. Five plays later, Copeland found Rollinson open for a 37-yard touchdown pass and a 14-7 lead.
Skyline expanded its lead just before halftime when Emmanuel Harris caught a 71-yard bomb from Copeland. The score gave Skyline a 21-7 lead with 1:52 left in the half.
