Justin McMillan passed for 167 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for another score as Cedar Hill beat Beaumont Ozen, 48-0, on Saturday at John E. Kincaide Stadium.

Cedar Hill (2-1) scored touchdowns on four of its first five series. Ozen did not gain a first down until the 8:23 mark of the second quarter. Ozen (0-3) was held to minus-5 yards rushing and 108 total yards on 64 offensive plays.

LANCASTER — Corey Avery ran for 119 yards and a touchdown and also caught a scoring pass as Carter (3-0) defeated Madison (1-2) in the first game of the Lancaster Football Classic.

Kenneth Spencer threw two touchdown passes and ran for a score for Carter, and SMU pledge Jordan Ingram returned a punt 81 yards for a touchdown and caught a TD pass.

Carter, the No. 11 team in SportsDay’s Class 4A area rankings, led 14-7 at halftime. In the second half, Carter wore down the Madison defense with touchdown drives of 77, 93 and 68 yards.

Lancaster rolled to a 21-0 halftime lead and never was threatened Saturday against Kimball, which got its only points on a fourth-quarter safety.

Six players scored for Lancaster. Chris Thomas scored on a 28-yard run in the first quarter and tossed a 28-yard touchdown pass to Mark Mims in the second period. Thomas hit Nick Alexander with a 41-yard touchdown pass to make it 21-0 at the half.

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS — Trinity Haggard rushed for 390 yards and six touchdowns to lead Throckmorton past Dallas Covenant in front of a packed house at Gene & Dorothy Barrow Field.

Dallas Covenant (2-1) won the TAPPS six-man Division I state title in 2012, and Throckmorton won the UIL six-man Division I state championship.

Throckmorton’s only loss in 2012 was an 80-76 regular-season defeat to Dallas Covenant. But on Saturday, Throckmorton (3-0) ended Covenant’s 14-game winning streak.
