Frisco Wakeland OLB Noah Westerfield commits to Northwestern: 'It felt like home'

Just a week after naming SMU his favorite school, Frisco Wakeland outside linebacker Noah Westerfield decided to commit to Northwestern.

SMU currently has two commits at outside linebacker in Plano West's Lance Cottrell and Athens' Chris Jefferson. Both prospects hold zero other offers while Westerfield has 13 to his name.

But SMU only gave the three-star linebacker an option grayshirt, which made his decision that much easier.

"It felt like home to me, I've been coming to Chicago every summer," he told "It just felt right."

Westerfield's other options included Boise State, Duke and Wake Forest. He also impressed at TCU's camp last month and may receive an offer sooner rather than later.
