Prime Prep is slated to play a full schedule in 2013 as a part of TCAL but will play most of its non-district games out of state.
Deion Sanders' charter school, however, will stay in Texas for at least one of its scrimmages. According to RGVBlogger.com, Prime Prep will face Harlingen on August 23 in Boggus Stadium, which is roughly about an eight hour drive from Dallas.
Harlingen head coach Manny Diaz confirmed that the exhibition will be a three-way scrimmage between Prime Prep, Harlingen and Sharyland.
Harlingen and Sharyland are both 5A schools and have been the class of the Rio Grande Valley, although not saying much considering the 40 plus teams in the area have combined for just one state title in the last 80 years.
In its inaugural season, Prime Prep went 1-5.
