Frisco Lone Star football coach Phil Fuller retiring; offensive coordinator Jeff Rayburn will take over

Frisco Lone Star football coach Phil Fuller, who has led the team during its first three varsity seasons, is retiring. Fuller, who has been a football coach for 41 years, said today that his retirement will be effective at the end of the school year.

Jeff Rayburn, Lone Star’s offensive coordinator, will be the new head coach, Fuller said.

Lone Star opened in 2010 and went 0-10 in its first varsity season. It finished 4-6 in 2011 and was 7-4 last season and made the playoffs for the first time.
