A look at what schools produced the most Dallas area top-100 prospects

Where are the Dallas area’s top-100 recruits coming from? Here is a breakdown of all the schools that are producing more than one of the area’s top-100 recruits.

Skyline leads the pack with five, including standout defensive lineman Kerrick Huggins, wide receiver Ra’Shaad Samples and quarterback Devante Kincade.

Six area schools – Cedar Hill, Euless Trinity, Jesuit, Kimball, Mansfield and West Mesquite — produced four top-100 recruits, with players headed to FBS programs on both coasts.

The recruits (rank): DL Kerrick Huggins (16), WR Ra’Shaad Samples (19), QB Devante Kincade (24), DB Will Barrow (43), LB Isaiah Williams (68).

About them: Skyline’s deep 2013 class will be spread throughout the Big 12 and SEC. Kincade was the first of three Dallas-area recruits to commit to Mississippi. Samples is headed to Oklahoma State, Huggins to Oklahoma, and Williams to Kansas State.

The recruits (rank): ATH Laquvionte Gonzalez (17), WR Quincy Adeboyejo (37), QB Damion Hobbs (44), Brandon Harris (100).

About them: Gonzalez and Adeboyejo were originally both committed to Texas A&M. Adeboyejo decommitted in early January and pledged to Mississippi last week. Hobbs decommitted from Arkansas State following the departure of coach Gus Malzahn. He is committed to Utah State and recently picked up an offer from Oregon.

T-2.; Euless Trinity; 4

The recruits (rank): DL Gaius Vaenuku (38), TE Jason Reese (50), DL Sam Tevi (53), OL Salesi Uhatafe (77).

About them: Vaenuku, Tevi and Uhatafe will all be heading to Utah next season. Vaenuku was the last to decide, making his decision in a televised announcement last weekend. Reese is committed to Missouri.

T-2.; Jesuit; 4

The recruits (rank): WR Jake Oliver (6), OL J.J. Gustafson (25), LB Jordan Mastrogiovanni (26), DL J.D. Waggoner (84).

About them: An incredibly strong 2013 class at Jesuit. Oliver, who is committed to Texas, is the state’s career receptions leader. Mastrogiovanni decommitted from Oklahoma and pledged to Texas A&M, where Gustafson is also committed.

T-2.; Kimball; 4

The recruits (rank): DL Justin Manning (3), LB Brandon Hines (48), WR Prentavious Morehead (98), RB Teriyon Gipson (98).

About them: Morehead and Hines are headed to New Mexico State, and Gipson is pledged to New Mexico. Manning, the second-ranked DL in the area, is committed to Texas A&M.

T-2.; Mansfield; 4

The recruits (rank): DB George Baltimore (29), OL Zach Crabtree (31), OL Austin Davis (63), LB Chad Whitener (64).

About them: Mansfield players will be going to each coast next fall. Davis is committed to Duke, and Whitener to California. Baltimore and Crabtree are headed to TCU and Oklahoma State, respectively.

T-2.; West Mesquite; 4

The recruits (rank): DB Kameron Miles (11), WR Eldridge Massington (25), DL Dimarya Mixon (35), DB Will Earley (57).

About them: Miles, a Texas A&M pledge, is the top-ranked DB in the area. Massington, once committed to USC, is headed to UCLA, instead. Mixon chose Missouri over Baylor, Kansas, Mississippi and West Virginia.

T-3.; DeSoto; 3

The recruits (rank): RB Dontre Wilson (9), DB Taylor Lewis (43), OL Sergio Phillips (66).

About them: Wilson is the top running back in the area. He’s committed to Oregon but has taken visits since the departure of coach Chip Kelly. Lewis is committed to Oklahoma State.

T-3.; Frisco Centennial; 3

The recruits (rank): DL K.J. Smith (40), DB Ranthony Texada (42), DB Cydney Calvin (75).

About them: Centennial’s trio of defensive standouts will all have homes in the Big 12 next season. Smith is committed to Baylor, while Texada and Calvin are headed to TCU.

T-3.; Hurst L.D. Bell; 3

The recruits (rank): DL Vili Leveni (69), OL Jesse Robinson (71), DB Kamari Syrie (99).

About them: Robinson and Syrie will see each other in the Big 12. Robinson is headed to Oklahoma State, and Syrie to Iowa State. Leveni is committed to Utah.

T-3.; Lancaster; 3

The recruits (rank): DL Daeshon Hall (13), ATH Demarcus Ayers (65), DB Dakota Austin (74).

About them: Washington pledge Hall is the only committed player of the three, and his choice could change in the next week. Ayers decommitted from Washington State.

T-3.; Rockwall-Heath; 3

The recruits (rank): LB Raaquan Davis (28), DL Jay Arnold (34), DL Jordan Points (46).

About them: Texas A&M is getting a pair of defensive linemen from Heath in Arnold and Points. Davis, the highest-ranked recruit of the bunch, chose Baylor.

T-3.; Wylie East; 3

The recruits (rank): WR Marcell Ateman (21), WR Quan Jones (33), TE Jesse Brubaker (93).

About them: Ateman and Jones, the sixth- and seventh-ranked wide receivers in the area, will head to different Big 12 schools. Ateman is committed to Oklahoma State, and Jones to Baylor. Brubaker pledged to Tulsa.

T-4.; Allen; 2

The recruits (rank): OL Brad North (45), DL Byron Bonds (55).

About them: North and Bonds were two of the biggest pieces in Allen’s dominant front lines. North is headed to the Big Ten with Northwestern, and Bonds is committed to Baylor.

T-4.; Arlington Martin; 2

The recruits (rank): ATH Kyle Hicks (12), K Ben Grogan (88).

About them: Hicks decommitted from Texas to sign on with TCU, and Grogan – the only kicker in the recruiting rankings – pledged to Oklahoma State.

The recruits (rank): OL Patrick Morris (32), WR Ellis Jefferson (52).

About them: Morris is the seventh-ranked offensive lineman in the area and committed to TCU. Jefferson, who had 176 yards and two touchdowns in the state title game, is committed to Arizona State.

T-4.; Fort Worth All Saints; 2

The recruits (rank): TE Charlie Reid (51), LB Xavier Phillips (58).

About them: Reid is one of several talented tight ends in the 2013 class. He committed to TCU last summer. Phillips, who also committed last summer, is headed to Baylor.

T-4.; Fort Worth Southwest; 2

The recruits (rank): WR Robbie Rhodes (4), ATH Wesley Harris (72).

About them: Rhodes leads a talented group of wide receivers as the fourth-ranked recruit out of the area. Both Rhodes and Harris committed to Baylor last summer.

T-4.; Irving; 2

The recruits (rank): OL Rami Hammad (23), OL Jaxon Salinas (61).

About them: Irving had the benefit of two of the area’s top offensive linemen last season. Hammad recently committed to Texas, and Salinas is headad to Oklahoma State.

T-4.; Lake Highlands; 2

The recruits (rank): OL Kent Perkins (1), DL Nick Thurman (70).

About them: Perkins is the top-ranked player in the area and fourth in the state, according to Rivals. He committed to Texas almost a year ago. Thurman pledged to Houston.

T-4.; Plano; 2

The recruits (rank): DL Joseph Noteboom (67), QB Richard Lagow (78).

About them: Noteboom chose TCU over Iowa State, Purdue and Texas Tech. Lagow is committee to Connecticut.

T-4.; Plano Prestonwood; 2

The recruits (rank): LB Mike Mitchell (7), TE Christian Morgan (22).

About them: Mitchell was one of the last major area recruits to commit, choosing Ohio State over Texas A&M and Oregon. Morgan decommitted from Florida State to play for Mississippi.

T-4.; Prosper; 2

The recruits (rank): WR Torii Hunter Jr. (14), QB Davis Webb (30).

About them: Hunter, who also plays baseball, is committed to Notre Dame. Webb chose Texas Tech over TCU and Big Ten schools Iowa and Indiana.

The recruits: QB Kenny Hill (10), OL Cam Manning (86).

About them: The dual-threat Hill is committed to Texas A&M but may change his mind before signing day. He’s also considering Kansas State and Baylor.
