Prestonwood Christian tight end Christian Morgan picks Florida State over Baylor

When it came to his future college, Prestonwood Christian's Christian Morgan had narrowed his choices down to two: Baylor and Florida State.

And though Baylor's campus in Waco is about 800 miles closer to Morgan's hometown of Plano, Tallahassee just felt more like home to the senior tight end.

"I just realized that FSU was the place for me. The opportunity there it just gave me everything I need all in one place," Morgan told, Florida State's Rivals affiliate. "The people at Florida State were special and I just really loved the city of Tallahassee. It's a great college town. It just has a little bit of everything."

Morgan is rated as a three-star recruit by Rivals and is currently considered the 14th-best tight end in the country. Morgan caught 16 passes for 226 yards as a junior, but it's his size (6-4, 240 pounds) and blocking skills that have really caught the eye of FBS coaches.

That's no surprise for a kid who started out as an offensive lineman.

"Christian has always put the team first. That's just the type of kid he is. He started off playing offensive tackle and won a state championship," Prestonwood Christian coach Chris Cunningham told the website. "He never feels comfortable out there, he is always pushing to improve himself. He is never satisfied."
