Fourth-quarter miscues shift momentum in Denton Ryan's win over Lake Dallas

DENTON — In a back-and-forth game marked by multiple momentum shifts, a fourth-quarter fumble by Lake Dallas finally turned the game in favor of Denton Ryan, which went on to win 42-28.

With the score tied at 28, quarterback Dalyn Williams lost the ball under pressure from the Ryan defense. Senior linebacker Alex De La Torre recovered the fumble at the Lake Dallas 39, giving Ryan good field position for what would be the game’s go-ahead drive.

The Ryan defense, which gave up more yards — 362 — than it has in any game this year, came into its own in the second half.
