Duncanville rallies to beat Nimitz in OT, 31-24

MANSFIELD - Quarterback Divan Ealy scored on a 21-yard run in overtime as Duncanville beat Irving Nimitz, 31-24, in a Division I, Region I bi-district game.

Down 24-10 after three quarters, Duncanville (8-3) forced overtime with scoring runs of 1 yard by Aaron Piper and 2 yards by Jaquan Cole. Piper rushed for 151 yards, and wide receiver Jalen Parker led Duncanville with six receptions for 103 yards.

Nimitz (6-5) scored on its opening drive on a 36-yard pass from quarterback Adam Charles to Darrell Dozier. Charles finished with 129 yards passing and three touchdowns. J.J. Gaines led Nimitz receivers with 60 yards and two touchdowns.

The game was delayed for about 30 minutes because of an injury to Nimitz defensive back Glenn McQuinney, who was taken by ambulance to a hospital.
