Source: Duncanville boys basketball asst. Kenny Boren to be named program's new head coach on Monday
Duncanville boys basketball assistant Kenny Boren will replace Danny Henderson as the program’s head coach, a source confirmed to SportsDay on Friday.
The hire is expected to be made official Monday.
Boren, an 18-year coaching veteran, was Henderson’s top assistant for two years at Flower Mound Marcus and one year at Duncanville. He coordinated the defense at Marcus, which won the 5A state title in 2012.
Henderson left Duncanville earlier this month to take an assistant coaching position at Boise State. Duncanville went 23-11 this season and lost to Killeen Ellison in the bi-district round of the playoffs.
