RICHARDSON - The Berkner trio of Xavier Thomas, Kendal Harris and Keenan Evans combined to score 60 points as Richardson Berkner dominated Garland from the start at Richardson Pearce High School.
Thomas and Harris each scored nine points in the first quarter as Berkner (26-7) led 23-12. Berkner led by as many as 18 points in the first half at 38-20 and led 42-27 at the half.
Garland (11-20) went on an 11-0 run in the third quarter to cut the deficit to 52-42 but could get no closer.
Tradarian Fountain led Garland with 14 points. Derrick Modest scored 10 of his 13 points in the second half and scored six points during the aforementioned 11-0 third quarter run.
