Brandon Pye, Mansfield Timberview, guard: Had 20 points and six assists to lead Timberview (15-12, 5-4 District 5-5A) to a 56-44 win over Cedar Hill, the state’s 19th-ranked 5A team.

Marcus Mathieu, Plano East, point guard: Hit a game-winning eight-foot runner with four seconds left in a 53-51 win vs. Hebron.

Jaylen Fails, Grand Prairie, guard: Made a game-winning 12-footer with two seconds left in overtime in a 48-46 win vs. Mansfield Legacy.

Julion Pearre, McKinney North, guard: The sophomore scored 32 points in an 82-66 win vs. McKinney.


Bryant Rucker, Frisco Centennial: The Denver signee scored 19 points to help Centennial rally from a seven-point deficit in the final 11/2 minutes for a 52-49 win vs. Frisco Wakeland.
