Police break up skirmish at Whitehouse-Frisco Liberty baseball playoff game
ALLEN - Several fans were involved in a little brouhaha during the fifth inning of game one of the Class 4A Region II championship between Whitehouse and Frisco Liberty.
A shouting match erupted among fans of the opposing schools between the bleachers at the Allen baseball field. An Allen police officer moved in and quickly broke up the arguing parties.
There didn't appear to be any physical violence or injuries. A Whitehouse fan needed to be restrained by several of her peers as she shouted at a Liberty fan.
The skirmish seemed to motivate both the Whitehouse fans and players. Whitehouse went on to have a five-run fifth inning en route to a 6-0 victory. A large portion of the Whitehouse cheering section was on its feet the rest of the game.
