Baseball roundup: Pleasant Grove pitcher tosses four-hitter in Class 3A title game

ROUND ROCK — Cleburne rallied from an early six-run deficit to advance to its first state final since 1979, beating Lake Travis, 9-7, in eight innings in a Class 4A state semifinal Thursday at Dell Diamond.

Cleburne (30-10) will play Rockwall-Heath in the state championship game at 7 p.m. Friday.

A two-run single by Conner Martyniuk drove in the game’s winning runs, after Cleburne loaded the bases on an infield single, error and intentional walk.
