Girls basketball player of the week (1/30): Irving MacArthur's Alexis Jones
What she did: Jones scored 29 points in an 83-18 win over Irving and 38 points against 6-5A rival Colleyville Heritage in a game thet put MacArthur two games ahead in the district race with three games remaining.
Who is she? A 5-8 senior guard
The stats: Against Heritage, Jones went 8-for-12 inside the arc and 7-for-17 on 3-point attempts. She added seven rebounds, six steals, five assists, three deflections and a block. She averages 23.5 points and eight rebounds a game for No. 1 MacArthur (28-2).
