Baseball/softball replay: McKinney Boyd denies Allen a sweep; Flower Mound beats rival

Mansfield Lake Ridge completed a two-game sweep of Duncanville and Argyle won over Lake Dallas.

Game of the day

Flower Mound earned its second district win of the season with a 5-1 victory over crosstown rival Flower Mound Marcus on Friday night.

Much of the Mound Showdown action started in the top of the sixth inning when Zane Becker, Garrett Wallace and Adam Hawrylak singled, as Texas A&M pledge Sam Erickson hit into a fielder’s choice. Each of them scored a run. But the scoring began in the fourth inning when Wallace hit a sacrifice fly and scored a run.
