Former Cowboys WR Terrell Owens, coach Jimmy Johnson named semifinalists for Pro Football Hall of Fame

Two former Cowboys have made the cut and been named semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but there's still a long way to go.

Former Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens and former Cowboys coach Jimmy Johnson were both included on the Hall of Fame's list of 25 semifinalists, which was released Tuesday.

Owens is in his first year of eligibility. Johnson has been a semifinalist for the past two years. Last year, Johnson was cut when the list of 15 was voted down to 10.

This year, the list of 25 will be reduced to 15 in January. No more than five modern era candidates can be added per year.
