Although the 2-6 Cowboys and 3-5 Bucs was broadcast to only 16 percent of the country, it took up a great deal of conversation time in the Fox pregame studio.

One topic question was: Could Romo's return save the season?
Jimmy Johnson: "No. They have more problems. ... You could look at their season and you could argue that if the defense played better -- if they would've had just one stop [in several games] -- they would have won half those ball games.
Terry Bradshaw: "If there is one thing I would change in Dallas, it's that they need a head coach that people fear a little bit, someone they are scared of getting on the wrong side of."
Howie Long did Garrett no favor when he said he thought Jerry Jones was the real problem.
Responded Bradshaw: "You step in and say it anyway. Take control and get fired."
