Even though TCU won the head-to-head battle, two voters put Baylor ahead of the Horned Frogs in this week's poll.

(How the poll works: A first-place vote is worth 12 points, second-place is worth 11 and so on. First-place votes are placed in parentheses next to a school's point total.)

Biggest margin: Baylor and Houston. The Cougars have gone up and down this season alternating between the No. 3 and No. 4 spots. Baylor has also seesawed between the No. 1 and No. 2 spot. It's clear that the voters have determined that the Bears and Cougars are in two different tiers of talent. Rice and UTSA also have a 13-point split.

Smallest margin: TCU and Baylor, and SMU and Texas State. Both teams are separated by seven points. The Mustangs fell due to a lopsided 63-0 loss to Memphis in their season finale.

Teams everybody agrees on: Texas and UTEP. The Miners' three-point win over North Texas solidified them as the No. 7 team in this week's rankings. The Longhorns' loss to Texas Tech also put them as the No. 6 team in all 11 ballots.

Team nobody agrees on: SMU. The voters are kind of like the CFP committee on this one. Late losses matter. And SMU's latest loss was a doozy. SMU ranked anywhere from dead last, finishing behind 1-11 North Texas, all the way up to No. 9 overall.

Biggest riser: Rice. The Owls snapped a four-game losing streak with a 27-7 win over Charlotte. That win was enough to give them a 15-point increase from their vote total from last week. They rose two spots in this week's poll.

Biggest faller: SMU. Again, that loss to Memphis probably wasn't the way Chad Morris wanted to end his first season as head coach. The loss dropped SMU two spots in the poll and they got 18 less points off votes than last week.
